Hey all, I’ve been closely following the Berta J's sinking and came across something that I can't stop thinking about. John and Michael Lami were reportedly experienced fishermen, so it's puzzling how they ended up in such a predicament. Does anyone know what specific conditions they were dealing with at sea that day? I’m wondering if weather patterns or equipment failure might have played a role. I’m hoping someone who knows more about marine conditions in that area can weigh in, especially considering it happened about 50 nautical miles from Yakutat. It's been bugging me since – would appreciate any insights or expert opinions.
