I was thinking about the surviving individual in the car that day with Jamal and Shawn. It must be incredibly traumatic to have experienced something so horrific and then be left to deal with the aftermath. I can't even imagine the survivor's guilt and the constant replaying of events in their mind. I hope they have support and are given the time and space to heal. It’s utterly devastating that two young lives were cut short in such a senseless way, and I hope they find some form of peace eventually. Sending love to the families and friends of both Jamal and Shawn who are grappling with such an unimaginable loss. It’s just so hard to wrap my head around how quickly violence can shatter lives.
