Hey everyone, I just found out about the Manuel incident south of Whale Bone Cape. Something that's been bugging me is the weather conditions during that time. Does anyone know what it was like when Manuel fell overboard? I mean, 3.5 miles off the coast isn't exactly close, and with the unpredictable waters around Unalaska, it could've been pretty rough. I've heard stormy seas can disorient even experienced people out there. If anyone has more info on what the conditions were like that day, I’d love to hear it. It might give us more insight into what Manuel was facing. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone else been looking into the currents around Whale Bone Cape? I’ve been doing some digging, and it sounds like the waters south of Unalaska can be really unpredictable. With Manuel's accident happening in that area, I've been thinking: Could the strong currents have swept him farther out than search teams originally anticipated? It seems like the kind of thing that could change the whole search area. If anyone has insights or knows more about how these currents typically behave, it would be great to hear your thoughts.
