I've been following the Fortino case, and something that keeps haunting me is how this devastating event impacted their two children. I can't even fathom how difficult it must be to process such a tragedy at a young age. It's heart-wrenching to think of them being abruptly placed in their grandparents' care, losing both parents in such an unimaginable way. Dean and Cindy seemed like devoted parents who deeply cherished their family. The community must have been stunned, given how well-regarded they were. It makes you wonder if there were any signs that something was amiss or if this was genuinely out of the blue for everyone involved. My heart really goes out to the kids and their grandparents, who now have to nurture and guide them through their grief. Does anyone know if there have been any community efforts to support the children? They’ll definitely need a strong network around them to help heal and find some sense of normalcy again.
