Does anyone else find it incredibly distressing how many families are caught up in the cycle of violence, like Jamar Hurd's? I've been following his case and it's truly a tragedy for his loved ones. Taken so suddenly in what seems like senseless violence—on a weekday afternoon, no less. It makes you wonder about the state of safety in these neighborhoods and how everyday activities can be disrupted so violently. I've read about the impressive collaboration between law enforcement agencies, but it's still so disheartening thinking about Jamar not returning home to his family that day. These communities suffer a lot, and while it's good that there are arrests and charges, it feels like it's just one piece of a much larger puzzle. My heart goes out to everyone dealing with the aftermath of these violent crimes, and I really hope this case brings some peace to those who cared for him.
