Has anyone else been thinking about the weather conditions on that day Lawrence and Robert went missing? I've been reading up on December 1991, and it seems like it was an especially brutal winter in the Arctic. It makes you wonder if there were any unusual storms or ice conditions that could have contributed to the tragedy. I've seen cases where a sudden shift in weather caught people off guard, making an already dangerous environment even worse. Does anyone have access to weather records from that area or know where to find them? It could give us some insight into what they were up against that day.

I came across Lawrence's case recently, and something's really sticking with me about the location details. It was mentioned that he was last seen on the Arctic Ocean, and I'm wondering if anyone knows about ice conditions in that area during December? It seems incredibly risky to be out there on a snow machine at that time of year. Could it be possible they got caught off-guard by rapidly changing conditions, or is it normal for locals to travel that way in winter? I feel like understanding the usual practices might give some insight into what might have happened. Did anyone ever mention if there was a search or recovery effort once it was realized they were missing?

Hey everyone, I was just trying to piece together some details on the case of Lawrence and Robert Neakok. One thing that's been on my mind is the weather conditions in the Arctic around December 1991. Does anyone have insights on how bad it might have been? Were there storms or particularly dangerous ice conditions reported at the time? I'm not from the area, so any info from locals or those familiar could really help us understand the circumstances better. Thanks!
