Did anyone else hear about the small memorial that Rivas' neighbors set up outside the building on East 25th Street? I read somewhere that they put up flowers and candles in his memory, which really shows a sense of community and how much he was appreciated by those around him. It speaks volumes about the impact he seemed to have had on people’s lives, despite the tragic circumstances. I'm hoping that this kind of gesture keeps the conversation going and prompts more people to come forward with any information that could lead to closing the case. It's truly difficult for a community when there's a sense of injustice hanging over a person's death, especially when they were part of the neighborhood fabric like Genny seemed to be. Sending strength to his family and friends during this time. Does anyone have any updates on the investigation?

Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Genny Rivas, and something that's been on my mind is the significance of the location where he was shot. It's known that the area around 474 East 25th Street has a high crime rate, but what puzzles me is why Genny would have been there at that time of night. Although he had moved out, it's mentioned that he was still working around the property with handymen. Could it be that he was tied to some late-night activity or maintenance work? Also, the pattern of high crime in that neighborhood - could it mean that he was perhaps mistaken for someone else? Or maybe it's something to do with disputes over property management or some kind of intimidation? It just seems so senseless considering what neighbors have said about him. For those familiar with the area, how common is it for property owners or landlords to be around their buildings this late? Any insights into local property disputes or similar incidents in the area could be crucial to understanding the bigger picture here. Just hoping to keep the conversation going and ideally find some information that might help bring some peace and justice to his family. Any thoughts?
