Was thinking about Herman Wells and the tough neighborhood he lived in. It's sad to think how areas like that can end up feeling like a different world for people outside them. From what I've read, his neighborhood was struggling with crime for years, and Herman's death was another reminder of that harsh reality. It just makes you wonder how many more bright young lives have to be lost before meaningful change happens. The harder part to digest is the lack of witnesses stepping forward. I can't blame folks for feeling scared, but it leaves families like Herman's hanging without closure. It's really sad that the environment makes people feel so powerless that they can't speak up. For every unsolved case like his, it's a family left with questions and a community burdened with fear. Hopefully, one day, we’ll see improvements that help people feel safe enough to stand against the violence that has taken too many lives.
