I'm still struck by the role technology played in Robert Castellano III’s case. It's fascinating and chilling at the same time how a system like ShotSpotter can pinpoint gunshots and lead officers to a crime scene almost immediately. It makes me wonder how many crimes go unreported or unnoticed in areas without such technology. What if there wasn't a ShotSpotter in place? Would justice for Robert have been delayed or even lost? Sending my thoughts to Robert's family and friends as they process this unimaginable loss. Technology helped catch the perpetrator, but I wish it wasn't needed in the first place due to his murder.
