I've been following Keshawn Garner's case, and something that's been on my mind is the location where it happened. That specific stretch of 18th Avenue in Newark has seen a lot of crime over the years, and it makes me wonder whether the city has taken any steps to address the safety in that area since 2017. It must be incredibly difficult for Keshawn's family and the other victim to know that there might not have been significant changes to prevent such tragedies from happening again.
