I just stumbled across the case of Dominic from the fishing vessel Aleut, and I can't stop thinking about it. It's so puzzling how one crew member was found, but Dominic vanished without a trace. I wonder what the conditions were like on that day—were the seas rough, or was there some equipment failure? It feels like there are so many variables at play here, and not enough clues to piece together what really happened. Has anyone looked into weather reports from that day, or possible mechanical issues with the vessel? Sometimes those smaller details can shed light on these tragic situations.
Does anyone have information about the weather conditions around the time the vessel Aleut went missing? I've read somewhere that sudden storms can make waters quite treacherous in late November in that region. It's so strange that Dominic was never located, especially since the Coast Guard did find the boat and the other crew member. Is it possible that the rough weather could've made the search efforts more challenging, or maybe there was something else at play? Any insights or theories would be appreciated.
