Hey everyone, I’ve been following Tawan Moses' case since the start, and something that’s really struck me is the response from New Brunswick in the wake of his tragic death. It’s sobering to think about how a single, senseless act of violence can shed light on bigger issues within a community. The increased efforts to enhance safety around Feaster Park are critical for those living in that area. It's all well and good that they're planning improvements, but I hope they include more community outreach as part of their initiatives. In my opinion, building better relationships between residents and law enforcement could be vital in preventing future tragedies like what happened to Tawan. It’s awful beyond words what Tawan’s family and friends are going through. Gathering as a community to grieve and address gun violence is important, but real change needs to come from the top down too. If anyone’s from the New Brunswick area, how have you felt about these safety measures? Do they seem genuine, or is it more of the same talk without action? Stay safe out there, everyone.

I keep thinking about the efforts undertaken to improve Feaster Park after Tawan Moses' tragic death. It seems like a step in the right direction to try to make the neighborhood safer, but it's baffling how long it took for action to be taken in hotspots like Throop Avenue. Tawan’s death is a stark reminder of how crucial it is for communities to have safe spaces and for local authorities to address crime proactively. Throop had already seen so much violence before that night in November 2017. I'm hopeful that any changes being planned can genuinely make a difference, not just in Feaster Park but in other areas struggling with similar issues. It’s a sad reality, and my heart goes out to Tawan’s loved ones dealing with this loss. Does anyone have updates on what measures have actually been implemented since then?
