I've been following Pedro Dillahunt's case since it happened, and something that continues to weigh heavily on my mind is the impact this tragedy has on the families left behind. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family went through, especially given the lack of answers and the long wait for justice. What's particularly concerning is the apparent struggle of law enforcement in making progress with gun-related crimes in areas like Newark. I feel for Pedro's loved ones as they navigate not only their grief but also the looming fear that justice might be elusive. It's a chilling reminder of the wide gap between community needs and effective crime resolution. I really hope we see some advancements soon, not just for Pedro’s family, but for the safety and peace of mind of everyone living in that area.

This was my brother and his case is still unsolved! They know the man that killed him and interviewed him that night. I don’t understand how this case never was solved. The Newark Police Dept is terrible and did not do their job! My family is still mourning this loss and it’s even more terrible that the man who killed him is free.
