I can't stop thinking about the courage it must have taken for Rodney O'Neal to try to get away from such a terrifying situation. The moment of making a split-second decision to run while facing such imminent danger is unimaginable for most of us. I truly hope precious memories of Rodney bring comfort to his loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time. It's distressing to hear about violence impacting communities, leaving families grappling with the loss. As always, I hold out hope that justice will be served and that perhaps the ongoing community efforts in Newark can drive meaningful change for a safer environment. My thoughts are with Rodney's family and friends.
