Did anyone else catch Judge Lemieux's remarks during the sentencing? It's not often that judges make such impactful statements, but he seemed genuinely intent on sending a message about the gravity of these crimes. His emphasis on the community's need for healing was poignant and deeper than we often hear in courtrooms. I think it reflected the community's pain and heartbreak and the ongoing struggle to address drug-related violence. While justice has been served, it's hard not to feel for Randolph Goodman's family, going through this long, painful process.
