I’ve been thinking a lot about how surveillance footage has become such a critical element in cases like Dakota Johnson's. It’s chilling to think how a night out can become a matter of life and death, but cameras really helped shine a light on what happened that terrible night outside Buddy's Place. What I find especially poignant is how this technology not only supports justice but also brings a bit of truth to the families left behind, like Johnson’s. I can’t imagine the peace it must bring to know that, amidst the chaos and sorrow, there’s a tangible timeline pieced together that respects the memory of their loved one. It’s a small comfort in an unimaginable situation, but it matters. Maybe better surveillance could actually become part of preventing these occurrences in the first place. Thoughts?
