Hey everyone, I've been following Tyriq Smith's case, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. I wanted to touch on something that doesn't seem to get enough attention: the community's role in helping solve these crimes. People seem afraid to speak up, and I totally get it. There’s a real fear of retaliation, which must be terrifying. But without community cooperation, it feels like justice is at a standstill. It’s frustrating knowing that fear holds back potential breakthroughs in these investigations. Does anyone here think there are ways to build trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve? Maybe then, folks would feel safer coming forward with information. Just trying to brainstorm here because we can't let Tyriq's case go cold like so many others. Thoughts? Stay safe, everyone.
