Hey everyone, I've been following the Lamar Rutherford case closely, and one thing that's been on my mind is the safety of the 14th Avenue area in Newark where Lamar was killed. It’s really sad that this happened to him, and I can’t even imagine what his family must be going through right now. I'm curious if anyone else on here is local to that area or has any insight into whether there have been any efforts to improve safety since the incident occurred. It’s just so unsettling to think about how such violence could happen in broad daylight. I really hope the community can come together to prevent this from happening to anyone else. If anyone has any details on community meetings or initiatives, please share. I feel like we, as a community, should support efforts to increase safety and support the family in any way we can. Thanks for reading.

Has anyone else been following the case of Lamar Rutherford? I came across some community discussions online, and it's both reassuring and sad to see how deeply this tragedy has affected people in Irvington and Newark. Many locals have been sharing stories of how Lamar was always there to lend a helping hand, and it's just awful that somebody like him has been taken away so violently. I was reading that there's a big focus on addressing gun violence in the area, spurred on by this incident. It just makes me think about how fearless people are in coming together to push for change in the face of such loss. Anyone else here from the area or with thoughts on how the community can keep building on this momentum for change? It's so important, not just for Lamar's memory, but for preventing future tragedies.

I just can't stop thinking about the impact Lamar Rutherford's death must be having on his family, especially since no one has been held accountable yet. The pain of not knowing who did this must feel unbearable. I read somewhere that he was well-loved in his community. Imagine losing someone like that so senselessly and still waiting for justice. It's frustrating to see the increase in gun violence lately, and I can't help but wonder how many families are going through the same torment. I really hope someone comes forward with information. It's been over three years now, and his family deserves some answers and closure. My thoughts are with them during this incredibly difficult time.
