I can't stop thinking about how bizarre it is that this whole situation started as a 911 call for a vehicle crash. I mean, how many times do responders expect to find someone who was shot multiple times instead? It's so sad to think about what Vidal "Chito" Carrasquillo-Vasquez must have gone through in those final moments—trying to drive, maybe trying to escape or get help. It's terrifying to think that someone would open fire on a moving vehicle. I hope the authorities can piece together what led to this tragedy and that Chito's family finds some sense of justice and peace. If anyone reading has insight or saw something that night at Hall Ave and High Street, reaching out could really make a difference. Let's help bring closure to those who’ve lost a loved one in such a senseless act.
