I'm still trying to wrap my head around the loss of Remy Lee and the ordeal her family is facing. Amidst the tragedy, I can't stop thinking about the incredible strength it must take for her loved ones to now be raising her daughter. That little girl is so connected to her mom, who was taken in such a horrible way, and it's heart-wrenching to think of the duality of grief and new life they're experiencing. It's clear from this case that domestic violence can escalate to unimaginable extremes, and something needs to be done to provide better protection and resources for those who find themselves in such circumstances. Now, more than ever, this community needs to unite and support Remy's family, offering them whatever help they need for the days and years to come. For those familiar with the trial, what were your thoughts on how the legal team presented Remy's story? It seemed like the evidence was overwhelming, but it's so important that these details were brought to light. Let's hope this conviction brings some sense of justice and peace, however small, for everyone who loved Remy.

I’ve been following Remy Lee’s case ever since I first heard about it back in 2020, and I can't stop thinking about the bravery she showed in her final moments by identifying her shooter. It’s absolutely chilling to think that someone could be so calculated, waiting for over 90 minutes in a car, planning this horrific act. It’s a grim reminder of how serious and deadly domestic violence can be. The conviction and sentencing of Donqua Thomas feel like justice was served, but it doesn’t bring Remy back. My heart truly goes out to Remy’s family and especially her young daughter, who has to grow up without her mom. I hope the community continues to support them, and that awareness about domestic violence is raised to prevent such tragedies from happening again.
