I've been thinking a lot about the community in Franklin Park and how they must have been affected by the loss of Denny Sanchez. It's really devastating to imagine such violence erupting in a place where people go for everyday services like haircuts. A barbershop should be a place of routine and community, not tragedy. My heart goes out to everyone who knew Denny and frequented that shop. I hope they find some solace in each other in such a difficult time. The psychological impact on those who witnessed the event or are connected to the community must be immeasurable. Hopefully, healing and support can build from within, allowing them to reclaim their space eventually with a sense of safety and normalcy.
