Hey everyone, I’ve been following the tragedy of Altamir Mayweather and something that really strikes me is the impact that this could have had on his future and the community. From what I’ve gathered, Altamir was not just a promising athlete but also a role model for many young people in Newark. It’s so frustrating and sad that gun violence cut his life short at just 17. I keep thinking about the other victim who survived and wonder how they're coping with this ordeal, both physically and emotionally. I hope they’re getting the support they need to heal. This whole situation is so distressing and the community must be devastated. The lack of arrests is worrying, but I have faith in the task force to piece together what happened.
