Hi everyone,
I've been following the Dominguez case and feel deeply for Omelly's friends and family. One aspect that really stands out to me is the mental health component. It's so distressing to see how Angielly's struggles were known, even documented, yet she was still able to travel such a long distance with firearms. It raises so many questions about the efficacy of mental health interventions and checks for those who might be in crisis.
It's upsetting to think about how this might have been prevented. I'm curious if any of you have insight or have seen similar situations where mental health warnings weren't enough to trigger action that could have prevented a tragedy like this. The whole situation highlights how critical it is to address mental health with as much seriousness as any physical health condition.
Sending thoughts to Omelly's family and hoping they find some semblance of peace in this terrible time.
