I’ve been following this case closely because it hits really hard knowing that a father, like Herbert R. Lee Jr., was taken far too soon. Something that always puzzles me is the mentality behind firing shots into the air. It was reported that during the fight, Ryan Askins and Desmond L. Bethel each fired multiple rounds skyward. Doesn’t it seem like such reckless behavior? Those bullets have to come down somewhere, right? I feel devastated for Mr. Lee’s kids who now have to grow up without their dad, all because of such unnecessary violence. While I'm relieved Askins was finally apprehended, it’s sobering to think about how long he eluded capture. Really hoping justice is served for Herbert and his family. I'm sending so much love and strength to everyone affected by this tragedy, especially his children who have lost so much. What do you all think about the recklessness of firing guns in this way and the impact it has on bystander safety?
