Has anyone else been digging into the tides and currents around the area where Richard and William Richards went missing? I found some fascinating info about how unpredictable they can be near Providenyia, especially in late August. Given how those waters behave, it's possible they could have been carried far away from the original accident site. Just wondering if anyone has sea navigation expertise or knows about search-and-rescue operations in Russian waters? It feels like understanding these natural factors might give us a better clue about what could have happened after the accident. Thoughts?
Has anyone looked into the possibility that Richard and William Richards might have ended up on one of the smaller, less inhabited islands in the area? I’ve been researching the geography around Provideniya, and it seems like there are quite a few places where they could have sought shelter after the boating accident. It’s a pretty remote part of the world, so I’m wondering if maybe local efforts to search these areas are limited. I know conditions can be pretty harsh out there, but in past cases, there have been surprises where people have survived against the odds in similar situations. Does anyone have more info on whether any search efforts have focused on these smaller islands?
Hey everyone,
I've been going down the rabbit hole researching the case of Richard and William Richards, the pair who disappeared after that boating incident near Provideniya, Russia. I'm curious if anyone has found any more information about the weather conditions on that day. Were there reports of rough seas or unexpected weather patterns that could have caught them off guard? I've come across some weather service sites that suggest the area can be unpredictable, but nothing specific to that day.
Any insight would be appreciated!
Stay safe out there,
