Hey everyone, I was going over some old cases and came across Gerald's disappearance back in '95. Something that fascinates me is the terrain on Prince of Wales Island. From what I've read, it’s a pretty rugged and densely forested area. Does anyone local or familiar with outdoor excursions on that island have insight into the possible hazards or wildlife that could have played a role in what happened to him out there? I know hunting trips can carry risks, but I'm curious about what specifically on Prince of Wales Island might complicate rescue efforts or searches. Thanks in advance for any info!

Does anyone have information on the type of equipment Gerald took with him on his trip? There might be clues in what he chose to bring or leave behind. I've seen similar cases where items carried can provide hints about a person's state of mind or plans. Whether it was an unusually large amount of supplies or specific gear, it could give us more to work with. If anyone has insights into what he packed, please share. It might just be the missing piece of the puzzle.

Hey everyone. I was reading through some of the old posts about Gerald's disappearance on Prince of Wales Island, and it got me thinking about the wildlife in the area during that time. Does anyone here know if there were any notable bear activity reports back in October 1995? I know that can be a rough time of year with bears preparing for hibernation, so just curious if anyone has come across any info on that. Seems like it could be relevant, especially if he was out hunting in more remote areas. Also, if there’s anyone local from that time, would appreciate any insights or stories you’ve heard—thanks!
