Does anyone else feel absolutely infuriated about how cases like Flora Thompson's seem to vanish into thin air? Her murder was particularly brutal, and yet there's so little out there about progress on the investigation. It breaks my heart to think about an 83-year-old woman, someone’s grandmother or mother, being left so vulnerable in her own home. It’s scary how this incident raises questions about the safety nets we have in place for our elderly—shouldn't they be better protected? I really hope that this tragedy prompts a more significant push for community programs or neighborhood watch initiatives. We owe it to Flora and others like her to ensure their safety is a priority. What measures do you all think could be put in place to prevent these sorts of violent crimes in the future?
