I've been thinking a lot about those witnesses who reported hearing a commotion near the scene where poor Edward Heffron's body was found. It must have been incredibly unsettling to experience something like that in your neighborhood and not have any answers all these years later. I can't help but wonder what more they might have seen or heard. The detail about the unidentified individual fleeing the scene is particularly haunting. It's frustrating imagining what might have been different if forensic technology back then had been advanced enough to capture more evidence. I sincerely hope that one day, someone decides to revisit this case. Maybe new technologies or fresh eyes could bring some clarity. Edward's family deserves peace, as do the residents of that area who were left in fear and uncertainty. Anyone else think this case should be reopened?

Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Edward Heffron in Detroit from back in 1923? It's so sad to think about how his family must have felt without any resolution for so long. I came across some old newspaper articles, and they mentioned how the area where Edward was found was known for being pretty rough back then. It makes me wonder if there were other similar incidents that were ignored because of it. It's frustrating to think about how limited their investigative tools were at the time—no DNA testing or surveillance footage to help piece things together. I feel for the detectives, too, trying to bring justice with whatever they had. My heart goes out to Edward's loved ones. They deserved answers, and it's painful to think they never got them. Does anyone have more information on that period in Detroit? Would love to hear more about community perspectives back then.

I've been reading up on the tragic case of Edward Heffron, and something that's been gut-wrenching to think about is the impact on his family and friends during that time. Imagine starting the new year with the loss of a loved one under such suspicious circumstances. It's no wonder the community was shaken. I've been particularly interested in the accounts of the commotion heard by the witnesses. It seems strange that there was someone fleeing the scene, but despite this, nothing solid came out of the investigation. The limitations of the forensic methods from back in the day played such a huge role in the lack of resolution here. It's frustrating to think that if this happened today, there might be more tools available to bring the case to a conclusion. I can't stop thinking about how many lives were affected and how Edward's family coped with not having any answers. It has to be incredibly difficult to move forward without closure. Cases like this remind us of the importance of advancements in forensic science and the dedication of law enforcement to help bring justice to victims and their families.
