I've been thinking a lot about Theresa Carey and what she must have gone through that night. Imagine being 19, just starting out in life, full of dreams and possibilities. She was only visiting her friend, just an ordinary evening, but it turned into something so horrific. It's terrifying to think how quickly things can change, and it's just so tragic that her life was cut short in such a brutal way. It's a sharp reminder of how randomness and violence can intersect with everyday life. I hope her family found some peace knowing that this case has been resolved, but the senselessness of it all must still be so hard to bear. My thoughts are with them and all who knew and loved her.

I was just reading about Yolanda Torres Madison's case. It's incredibly disturbing how Anthony Walker's criminal activities went unnoticed for so long. I feel for Yolanda, Theresa, and baby Jessica, whose lives were so cruelly taken. It's tragic enough that they suffered in their final moments, but the extended wait for justice must have been a burden too heavy for their families to carry alone. It's terrifying to think of how many lives he affected over the years. I'm glad the cold case team never gave up and finally pieced together the evidence. Imagine how many more could have suffered had he not been caught. I'm keeping the loved ones of Yolanda and Theresa in my thoughts.
