I was reading about the Rock Road massacre and couldn't get Garnetta out of my mind. Thinking about her life being cut so cruelly short and everything she had ahead of her is so gut-wrenching. It’s deeply troubling how the violence erupted the way it did, right before such a pivotal moment in her life with the divorce proceedings. It's just impossible to fathom what must have been going through her mind during that last family gathering, probably hoping for a sense of closure and peace that she deserved. I just want to extend my deepest sympathies to her friends and those in the community who knew and loved her. This tragedy reverberates beyond the numbers and details, reminding us all of the fragility of life and the importance of supporting one another through times of despair. Has anyone here found a way that the local community was able to heal after this massacre? It often helps to hear about acts of kindness or memorials that may have been set up to honor Garnetta and her family.
