Hey everyone, I was doing a bit of digging into Carlos's case and got curious about the weather conditions around Kruzof Island during March 1996. Does anyone know if there was any severe weather reported or unusual sea conditions on the day he disappeared? It might give us a clue about what happened to him and his boat. I'm wondering if it was a sudden storm that caused his boat to get swamped, or if there might be something else at play. Would love any insights or info from folks familiar with that area or who remember hearing about this case back then. Thanks!
Wow, I can't believe it's been 27 years since Carlos disappeared. I've always found it puzzling how the boat was found swamped near Kruzof Island. I've read some articles about water currents in that area being pretty dangerous at certain times of the year. Living near a coastline myself, I've seen how unpredictable the sea can be, and it makes me wonder if weather conditions played a significant role in what happened to him. Has anyone else looked into historical weather data for that day or fisherman reports from the area to see if there were any warnings about rough conditions? It's just such a mysterious aspect of the case that keeps me wondering.
Hey everyone, I’ve been reading up on Carlos's case and something jumped out to me. The fact that his Boston Whaler was found swamped near the inner part of Kruzof Island has me scratching my head. I’m not familiar with that area—does anyone know if it's known for having particularly dangerous waters or unpredictable weather? It just seems odd that his boat ended up in that spot. Was it a popular fishing or boating area, or could there have been any other reason Carlos might have been near there? I am curious to know if anyone has more local knowledge or theories about why his boat might have capsized specifically in that region. It’s so puzzling and I feel like understanding the geography and conditions might shed some light on what could have happened. Thoughts?
