I've been thinking a lot about the voicemail threats McIlvane left before the tragedy. It's so disturbing that there were clear signs of danger, yet nothing was done to stop it. I can't imagine what Rose Proos' family must have felt when they learned that he had threatened violence and still managed to carry out such an awful act. It just makes you wonder what steps could've been taken to protect her and the others. I hope that the criticism of the post office's management led to real changes, because no family should ever have to go through this again due to ignored warnings. Sending all my sympathy to the victims' families who have had to endure so much pain.

Hey everyone, I came across some information about Rose Proos, and I just can't stop thinking about her family and friends during such a difficult time. It's been years since the shooting, but I imagine the pain doesn't just disappear. Rose was described as a dedicated postal supervisor, and I can only wonder what a huge loss this was to everyone who knew her. Given McIlvane's history of conflicts and warning signs, it's so frustrating that more wasn't done to prevent this tragedy. I know the Royal Oak Post Office made changes after the fact, but it's awful to think those changes came too late for Rose and the others. I hope her loved ones have found some peace over the years, but it's such a stark reminder of the importance of taking threats seriously. Anyone else have thoughts on how workplace dynamics have changed since then? Stay safe, everyone.

Has anyone here looked into the aftermath of the Royal Oak Post Office community following this tragedy? I recently came across an article mentioning a support group that was formed by the survivors and families of the victims, including Rose Proos's loved ones. It sounds like they played a significant role in advocating for change within the postal service. I'm heartened to see how people came together to support one another during such a difficult time. Does anyone have more information about the initiatives they pushed for? It's crucial to remember that behind these horrific events are real people whose lives were forever changed. Keeping their spirit and advocacy alive is a way to honor their memory.
