It’s truly hard to imagine the pain Roderick Hunt's family must have felt, especially in those early years when answers seemed so elusive. One aspect that’s puzzled me about the case is the absence of witnesses. South Bend isn't exactly a sprawling metropolis; someone must have seen or heard something, right? Even understanding the fear that might keep witnesses silent, it's distressing how this fear can slam the door on the justice Roderick deserves. I wonder if there were any appeals for information directly to the community, or maybe a local tip line that encouraged anonymity. It’s infuriating to think those critical voices could be out there, holding that one piece of the puzzle. Sending love to Roderick’s family—it’s so unfair that this shadow hangs over them.
