Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Lorenzo M. Nestor's case. It's just so tragic what happened to him and the impact it has had on his family and the community. I'm reflecting on how this has been just another painful reminder of the depth of the gun violence issue in Chicago back in 2009. I read an article recently that mentioned how Lorenzo’s case, among others, really highlighted the urgent need for collaboration between the community and the police. It's so crucial that people feel safe enough to come forward with information. It's deeply saddening to know that many families are still waiting for closure from that time. Have any law enforcement initiatives from back then continued to make an impact today, or have we moved on from those without seeing real change? Would love to hear your thoughts.
