Hey everyone, I was revisiting the tragic case of James Shields and something caught my attention. While it's known that someone was taken into custody shortly after the incident, I'm curious about how the local Oak Park community has been supporting each other since that terrible day. It’s clear from the memorials and tributes that James was deeply loved, but I've been wondering if there have been any community meetings, support groups, or even local events held in his memory that aim to raise awareness about gun violence. Does anyone here know if the community has organized anything like this? It seems so important that they continue to keep James’s memory alive and support each other through such a difficult time. Any insights would be appreciated. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Thanks for keeping this conversation going. Stay safe, all.
