Hi everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about how often we overlook the role that local communities play in rallying together after a tragedy like Gregory Hodo's murder. I've read some touching stories about how the people of Flint came together after his death. It's amazing how community members can provide support in the face of such senseless violence. Events like fundraising for Gregory's family and community vigils at his favorite spots at local parks or music venues show that even in dark times, there's a flicker of hope and unity.
Gregory seems like he was a vibrant soul who brought laughter and joy to those around him, and it’s clear that his loss was felt deeply by everyone. It makes me wonder how we, as a society, can do more to foster that sense of community spirit before tragedy strikes, not just after. How can we ensure that everyone feels seen and supported like Gregory’s family did in their time of need? Would love to hear any thoughts or similar experiences from other communities that have faced such difficult situations.
Stay safe out there, everyone.
