Does anyone else find the disappearance of Glenn and his plane utterly puzzling? I’ve been reading up on the case and can’t get over how the plane was spotted upside down and partially submerged, yet it was never recovered. Given that it sank in Skilak Lake at a depth of about 140 feet, you'd think there would have been some efforts to recover it, right? I know deep water can be tricky to search, but with today’s tech, it would seem possible. Could there have been complications or constraints back in '97 that prevented them from doing a more thorough search? Just wondering if anyone has insight or thoughts on why nothing was found.
Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about Glenn’s case and something seems so strange to me. Has anyone else wondered how a PA-22 on floats could just disappear like that without a trace? I mean, even though it sank, you’d think that with today's technology, there'd be some way to locate it, right? What about sonar or those underwater drones? It’s been more than two decades! I just find it baffling that neither the plane nor Glenn have ever been found. Could it be possible that the lake's conditions make recovery efforts harder than expected? Would love to hear some theories or insights from those more familiar with this kind of search and rescue operation.
