I can't stop thinking about the role that community played in Allysha’s life. She wasn't just someone who lived in Ypsilanti; she was an essential thread in the fabric of the community, from her active participation at the Greater Faith Transition Center to her involvement in her high school activities. It's clear that Allysha touched many lives, and the turnout at the candlelight vigil shows just how much she was loved and respected. Beyond the heartbreak and the search for justice, I hope her memory continues to inspire those who knew her to spread kindness and joy, just as she did. My thoughts are with her family and especially her young twins, who will grow up with the love shared by everyone Allysha touched.
