I’ve been following Jason Missentzis' case for a while now, and I keep going back to the fact that he was such a positive influence in his kids' lives. Coaching their soccer and football teams shows just how dedicated he was to his family. It's terrible to think those children now have to grow up without their dad by their side. The ripple effect of his loss extends far beyond just his direct family—it's felt throughout the community, especially the young athletes who looked up to him. Growing up in such an environment, having a coach who genuinely cares about you can really shape your early years. I truly hope the people responsible are brought to justice. His family and friends deserve closure. It's worrying to see how frequently violence erupted in Flint during that time. There's a clear need for interventions to prevent future tragedies, so communities aren't repeatedly torn apart like this.
