Did anyone else see the sheriff's department statement on securing firearms after Thomas Belanger's accident? My heart goes out to Tom Tom's family, especially his brother, Ashten—can't even imagine the pain they're going through. It baffles me that incidents like this keep happening despite the countless reminders about gun safety. The sheriff’s point on using gun safes and locks can't be stressed enough. It's such an avoidable tragedy when you think about how a simple precaution could've potentially saved a life. I've started looking into better securing my own firearms at home because of it. Is anyone else here taking extra steps after hearing about this case?
Did anyone else read about Tom Tom's memorial service? I’m so moved by the way the community in Alba showed up for the Belanger family. It seems like the whole town came together to support them, which is such a beautiful thing in the face of this loss. It's a stark reminder of how tight-knit some communities can be when tragedy strikes. The emphasis on raising awareness about gun safety, especially during the speeches, really struck a chord with me. For those who haven’t seen it, there were pamphlets distributed about gun safety measures. It seems like they’re hoping to turn this tragedy into a way to prevent future accidents. It’s a meaningful way to honor Thomas’s memory, don’t you think?
