I’ve been following the Diana DeYoung case, and something that strikes me is the community’s reaction to losing someone as dedicated as Diana was. After reading about her work with UCOM and the lives she touched, it’s clear she had a profound impact on many people. It’s hard to process how such a vibrant person, who spent so much of her life helping others, met such a tragic end. I wonder how her absence has affected the projects and initiatives she was involved in. Have any of the programs she supported been struggling without her guidance, or did other community members step in to continue her legacy? My thoughts are with her family, friends, and everyone whose life was brightened by her compassion.
