I can't stop thinking about De-Angelo Smith Owens' mother, Angela Owens Brown, in all this. As a mom, her world must have completely shattered finding out her son was murdered while just trying to keep peace in his neighborhood. It's so frustrating that the police haven’t identified any suspects, despite the history of that house.
And De-Angelo was only 25, with four kids and another on the way! It's a staggering loss for his family. Those kids have to grow up without their father, and it's just wrenching. A drug house or not, no family deserves to be left in the dark like this.
I’m crossing my fingers that with time, someone will come forward with information. Community solidarity is powerful, and even though it’s been years, it would be amazing to see them get the justice and peace they need. Let's keep the discussion going and hope someone who knows something will speak up. It’d be nice to see this mystery solved and give some solace to a grieving family.
I've been following the case of De-Angelo Smith Owens, Jaden Dorris, and Errick Durham for some time now, and it has been weighing heavily on my mind. It’s absolutely gut-wrenching that De-Angelo, who was a young father, was trying to step in and calm a neighborhood dispute, only to end up a victim. From what I’ve read, his mom has been adamant that he wasn’t involved in the drug scene, regardless of where the tragedy took place.
What stands out to me is how a community can sometimes unfairly label people based on where they live, as if that defines them entirely. It's so important to remember that De-Angelo was a person with family and loved ones, not just someone tied to a place with a dark history. It seems like the stigma may hinder real progress in solving the case, and that's disheartening.
It’s incredibly frustrating that nearly seven years on, there seems to be no movement in the investigation. Does anyone know if there have been any recent community efforts or vigils to keep this case in the public eye? I think it's crucial to keep pushing for answers, not just for the sake of the families but for the community as a whole. Let’s hope that justice will eventually prevail.
