On October 26, 2013, Antoine Seaton, a 17-year-old student at NET Charter High School for at-risk youth, was fatally shot in his home in the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans. The year 2013 was particularly violent for young people in the city, as Seaton was one of several teenagers who lost their lives to gun violence.
