Has anyone else been following the Charles Newton Powell case from June 1992? I’ve been reading up on it, and something that really sticks out to me is the witness account about the suspect knocking on other doors before Powell's. What could have been the purpose? Was he trying to find someone specific, or was he just looking for any door that would open? It's so eerie to think that just by answering a knock at his door, Charles’s life was suddenly on the line. How tragic for his family to still not have answers after all these years! Does anyone have insights or thoughts on why the killer would approach other rooms first? Could there be potential witnesses who haven’t come forward yet? Always hoping for justice and support for the Powell family.
Hey everyone, I've been following the Charles Newton Powell case from 1992 and something really grabs my attention about the witness account. Sgt. Lori Franklin mentioned the shooter knocked on a door before heading to Powell's room. This detail makes me wonder if the shooter was trying to confirm Powell's location or if there was some kind of mix-up. Could it be possible the attacker knocked on a wrong door initially? Or was it a tactic to make it seem like a random targeting? It's incredibly frustrating and saddening knowing there was a witness, yet the case still remains unsolved after all these years. I can only imagine the anguish this has caused for Powell's loved ones, never getting the justice or closure they deserve. What do you all think about this strange door-knocking aspect?
Hey everyone,
I stumbled across some information regarding the cold case of Charles Newton Powell and wanted to expand on the intriguing witness account. It seems that the interaction between Powell and the suspect was brief, which makes me wonder about the nature of their exchange. Could it have been a disagreement over earlier business dealings, or perhaps an unfortunate random encounter?
From what the witness describes, it sounds like the shooter knocked on several doors, not just Powell's. This detail is curious because it suggests that the shooter was either looking for someone in particular or trying to mask his intentions. Could Powell have been an unintended victim?
It's baffling that there's still no resolution to this case despite the initial police sketch. It's frustrating, but I’m hopeful for the family and friends of Powell that one day they'll find closure. Does anyone know if there's any other evidence that might give us more insight into the suspect's motive or identity?
Sending thoughts to anyone connected to Powell and hoping justice is served soon.
