I've been following Dequan's case closely, and my heart goes out to his family. I was especially moved when I learned about the community mural that was painted in his honor on Burgess Street. It's such a powerful way to keep his memory alive and to remind everyone about the ongoing fight against violence that took his young life too soon. I hope it also encourages someone who knows something to step forward. It's been too long without answers, and this family deserves justice. Has anyone heard of any community initiatives or meetings planned to keep the awareness alive? Sometimes keeping the conversation going can lead to breakthroughs.
