Has anyone looked into the possibility of an equipment failure with Douglas and Raymond Brown's snow machine during their seal hunting trip? I know the conditions out there in Kotzebue Sound can be brutal, especially if something goes wrong with your snowmobile. If they had any issues midway, it might have forced them to take a different route or perhaps caused them to lose control, leading to those tracks found heading into open water. I’m curious if there’s any detailed information on the condition of their equipment. Also, were there any recent weather changes that day that could have surprised them? I'm just trying to piece together what might have happened and why their tracks ended the way they did. Any insights would be appreciated.
