I was looking into the case of Deantai Box and something caught my attention: the fact that none of his belongings were taken. It makes me wonder about the motive behind this heinous act. Deantai was just doing something selfless for his friend, getting a wheelchair, and it just doesn’t make sense why this would happen to him. The neighborhood he lived in doesn’t seem to have a reputation for high crime, so what would make someone target him that morning in his own driveway?
His floral shop, Something Unique, was new and probably not even on the radar of criminal activity. It’s so tragic and seems so senseless. I truly hope that the investigation will shed some light on why someone would do this. My heart goes out to his family and friends who have been left without answers for so long. It’s truly frustrating when justice seems so elusive. If anyone in that area knows anything at all, please come forward. His loved ones deserve closure and our community deserves to know that we're safe from such violent acts.

The fact that he was in his own driveway, a place where we all expect to feel the safest, adds another layer of sadness. I hope someone with even the smallest piece of information steps up to help solve this case. His family deserves answers.
