Hello everyone,
I’ve been following the discussions about Curtis Lee Brown Jr.’s tragic death in Muskegon Heights, and a thought struck me about the pattern of violence in the area and how it impacts these investigations. It’s so concerning that despite all the attention some cases get, they still remain unsolved. It’s obvious the community is feeling the strain, and it must be incredibly frustrating for the families left without answers.
I read somewhere that many of these neighborhoods are pushing for more community-based policing, and I wonder how effective that might be in cases like Curtis’s. Is there anyone here from the area who’s seen changes like this happen? Or even someone who knows whether such efforts have managed to foster a better sense of safety or cooperation with law enforcement?
It breaks my heart to think about Curtis’s family having to navigate their loss in such a cloud of uncertainty. They, along with many others, deserve closure. I hope that by sharing and discussing these cases, we can somehow contribute to keeping them alive in public memory and encourage anyone with information to come forward. Thoughts?
