I’ve been following Dewayne Larkin’s case, and something that stands out to me is how common it seems for such cases to lack updates. It's distressing not just for the community but especially for the family, who deserve answers and justice. The fact that Flint isn’t forthcoming with information on all of its homicide cases just adds to the frustration and the feeling of being in the dark. Even if the police are withholding details to protect the investigation, there still needs to be transparency on some level. People want to know that progress is being made, even if arrests haven’t happened yet. How can the community or even local authorities create an environment where sharing information is done more effectively? Sending strength to Dewayne’s family and friends. No one should have to endure the pain of losing a loved one, especially in such a senseless manner.
