I've been following the case of Tarance Smith and Theresa Watts, and it's just been on my mind a lot lately. I can't help but think about how their kids are doing. Having to witness such a horrific event and then losing both their mother and Tarance must be unbelievably traumatic for them. It's hard to imagine the kind of emotional and psychological impact this has on young children. I really hope they're getting the support and counseling they need to heal and cope with such a devastating situation. It just underscores the lasting collateral damage that violence and anger can have, not just on the immediate victims but on everyone around them. My heart truly goes out to these kids and the families trying to rebuild after such a senseless loss.
